Guerlain Shalimar was launched originally in 1925, and created by Jacques Guerlain. Shalimar means Temple of Love in Sanskrit.   It is named after Mumtaz's favorite garden, The Gardens of Shalimar.  While it has been around for almost 100 years,it is still one of the best selling perfumes in this legendary perfume house.  

Shalimar is an Oriental fragrance with top notes of lemon and bergamot; middle notes of jasmine and May rose; and base notes of iris, incense, opoponax, tonka bean and vanilla.
